SCRA PROJECT SURVEY
The Industry 4.0 project is geared toward developing an Industry 4.0 framework focused on retrofitting existing manufacturing equipment. Injection Molding is one of the critical manufacturing sectors we have identified as a focus area for our framework.
This project aims to modernize manufacturing assets of some leading industries in South Carolina. In prior research works in this domain, we were able to achieve tangible results on the effect of changes in process parameters on quality indices of the part. The evaluation of different data sources, knowledge extraction, and prediction of part quality were accurately achieved during the research work.
We are now looking to build on the same where we will be retrofitting several assets in composite manufacturing industry on the basis of a literature review of the current state-of-the-art of Industry 4.0, and a survey of leading manufacturers in South Carolina.
This survey would take approximately 10 minutes. It includes two sections, one which is based on your and your organization’s approach towards Industry 4.0, and another section on the injection molding equipment in your organization.
